Join us this July and August by taking part in our Butterfly Rendezvous 2008. Be sure to bring your cameras because you will be amazed at all the species of butterflies and skippers you will see - in the wild, not in captivity like most places. Various species of giant swallowtails, monarchs, viceroys, skippers, fritillaries, blues, hairstreaks, etc. are attracted to our varieties of milkweed, clover, cardinal flower and other indigineous wildflowers and plants surrounding Cricket Frog Pond at Seven Eagles.
The Center is located at 16486 Wapakoneta Road, one mile south of the restored Victorian village of Grand Rapids in northwest Ohio, and one mile north of Rt. 6. The Center is an ideal site for an outdoor living history festival with its’ 40 acres of Black Swamp woods, two-acre pond and open meadows. The Center boasts the only site to have a recreated 40’ Woodland Indian longhouse and 20’ wigwam, a Scottish Tavern, Trappers Hut, 205 year-old Pioneer Cabin and Trading Post in northwest Ohio. The Center’s facilities are open most weekends to the public.
